Step 1
It is necessary to use a browser connected to the Internet, be it a mobile phone, a computer or a tablet and accept to share the location.
Step 2
The following conditions must be met:

  • The Sun is 10 degrees below the horizon.
  • The Moon is below the horizon.
  • No clouds in the area to be examined
  • Step 3
    In the top menu bar, click on the icon "eye icon" for "night vision" and allow a minimum of ten minutes for the visual capacity to adapt to the night.
    Step 4
    In the section "2 Darkness of the sky" there is a large box with eight icons at the bottom. In the box will be represented a partial map of the sky located just in the vertical of the observer. The icons below allow you to vary the number of stars visible in the box. The lines between stars are only added to facilitate recognition.
    Step 5
    You have to look north. If you do not know which direction it is, use any compass or GPS application.
    Step 6
    Select that one of the eight icons in which the map of the box looks more like the observed sky.
    Step 7
    Comments on the sky conditions can be included.
    Step 8
    Once the measurement is complete, click on the "Save" button in section "4 Send data".
